So - how does this work?
Well, that depends on which night you are coming in!
"Pick a Project" nights
Most nights, we have our "Pick a Project" nights, where you can choose to make any of our projects from our Project Menu. Projects vary in length and in difficulty, change seasonally, and start at $35 (kids projects at $20). We do offer upgrades for custom names, dates, quotes, etc. that allow you to completely customize your project! Arrive any time between 3pm and 7pm for your self-guided project. You can make reservations for a group here.
Completing your project should take somewhere from 1-3 hours, depending on how much socializing you do. An average project with an average amount of socializing takes about 2 hours.
On these nights, we feature specialty and advanced classes. These are totally fun and unique, and help you learn a skill that is a bit more advanced, such as brush lettering, macrame, or mixed media! These are only available on specific nights, so be sure to refer to our calendar at the bottom of the Reservations page, and reserve your spot! These projects are taught classroom-style, though you are still free to customize the colors as much as you'd like. For these classes, you do need to make a reservation to hold your seat, and arrive promptly when they begin so you don't miss any steps!
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! We provide all of the supplies, tools, space and a photo tutorial for your chosen project. Our assistants are trained to answer any project questions you may have -or- help you through anything you have questions on while you make your masterpiece.
When you arrive, you will be checked in at the podium and then shown to a seat. At this point you will pick your project from our Project Menu and then notify our creative assistants so they can grab your materials. Tools to create your project are at your table and, at this point, you can start creating your project. Don't forget to stop in to the bar for a soda and snack to fuel your creativity!
Do I need to make a reservation?
For "Pick a Project" nights - we do advise reservations, but accept walk-ins too (based on availability). For these nights, you can email us on our Contact page or through Facebook. Alternatively, you may also make a reservation over the phone by calling 435-277-0278. Please make reservations if you are bringing in a group of 6 or more.
For Workshops - Yes! These are limited seating, so reservations are essential. See current workshops on our calendar, on the Reservations page.

Does everyone have to do the same thing?
Absolutely not! If you visit during a "Pick any Project" night, each person attending can make any project from our Project Menu. Think of it like choosing a meal at a restaurant; it’s an individual decision that each guest gets to make! And, don’t worry, even if you and all of the people you attend Art Parlor with choose different projects, you still get to sit together. We’ll come help you with your projects individually as needed!
Can we bring in food?
Why yes! We have a snack bar, you may bring your own home-cooked food into Art Parlor, or we can order it in from one of the many great Ancestor Square restaurants (we have menus from these restaurants available, just ask!). You MAY NOT bring any drinks into Art Parlor; alcoholic or non-alcoholic. We do not provide tableware (such as plates and silverware) for your food items. If you plan on bringing in food, please also bring your own utensils.
Coupons, Gift Certificates, and Promotions
To redeem a coupon or gift card, simply bring in said coupon/gift card and redeem it in person! Please note that Coupons cannot be combined or used during discounted nights, Gift Certificates cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, and all Gift Certificates expire 2 years after date of issue. Expired coupons can not be used.
Do you have kids projects?
We do!! Kids are welcome to come and participate in projects, you simply have to be responsible for them! We offer a handful of smaller projects at a lower price for the young'ins. While our main projects are somewhat complex, we have had plenty of kids successfully complete "adult" projects, and they are welcome to give any project a go!
Please note: all persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during their entire Parlor visit. Additionally, all parents must sign a waiver for minors in attendance. Each person who visits Art Parlor does so at their own risk, as we do have tools readily available.
It is also worth noting that our projects typically take between 1 and 3 hours to complete, so if you bring your children, we recommend that they have additional entertainment (IE - ipad, etc.) for once they've completed their project. Kids projects typically are completed faster, as they may or may not rush through the steps!
What about private parties?
There is nothing quite like a spectacular Art Parlor event! From Team Building to Bachelorette Parties; we know how to soiree. Host your group within a Project Social, or choose to rent out the whole Art Parlor. Minimum spends apply to rent-out events. Inquire with date and time for more details. Prices for groups making projects start at normal Project Social ticket price: $35/person, and can be discounted depending on the number of attendees!
